Goal updates

I started 2016 with two sets of goals – 7 Things In 2016 and 101 Things In 1001 Days, and since we’ve reached the end of February, I thought it might be an idea to check in and see how I’m doing.

My 7 Things In 2016:
Learn how to write calligraphy I haven’t even looked to see if there’s any books in the library or youtube tutorials. This may have to be a task to pick up once my exams are done
Start blogging regularly Yes! I think I’ve done this really well. I’m quite happy with my blogging.
Stop biting my nails 😦
Take a vacation to Rome I will be going in the summer!
Find a way to be more organized I’ve managed to keep both my bedrooms tidy all year so that’s a start
Try sushi My Aunt Emily has promised to take me but we’ve not made it yet
Be more patient, especially with myself I’m still working on how to do this

As for my 101 Things In 1001 Days:
Completed – 7
Write a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days!
Leave an inspirational note inside a book for someone to find
Buy a lottery ticket
Hug 10 people in one day
Hug someone on National Hug Day
Send a handwritten letter
Bake a chocolate cake
Keep my room tidy for a month

In progress – 7
Graduate college
Donate blood
Answer the “50 Questions That Will Free Your Mind”
Watch 26 movies I’ve never seen starting with each letter of the Alphabet
Read 26 books I’ve never read starting with each letter of the alphabet
Read 100 books
Start University

  1. I love your goals – and great job knocking so many of them out of the park already! I started a 101 things in 1001 days back when I was in high school, but it got abandoned. I think it was a weird point in time for me to do it as I was growing and changing as a person. I’ve been enjoying seeing more posts as well!


  2. That’s a nice list of goals! I think watching 26 movies and reading 26 books for each letter of the alphabet is an interesting idea. That’s exciting that you’re going to Rome later too 🙂

    I hope you do try sushi! It’s one of my favorite foods! It’s still early in 2016 so you have a lot of time left. I think you’re off to a good start!


  3. Awesome Goals there. I’m terrible at setting goals and actually doing them, haha. Wow you never had sushi before? You plan on trying the raw stuff or the cooked? I have never had the raw, but I have tried several cooked ones and love them. I admit though, it took a bit to get use to Nori flavor but once I did I crave it from time to time. 🙂 Good luck with all your goals!


  4. One thing I need to call attention to, YOU MUST TRY SUSHI!!!! At least give it a try once. It took me a few years to actually like it. It definitely helps if you move up the chain from California } eel } baked anything } spicy tuna } salmon/tuna } albacore/yellowtail } the rest of the sushi world.


  5. How awesome! I love goal-setting. However, one of my goal is to update my goal progress on my blog…which I haven’t been doing….

    Ahh sushi, my great love for them and Japanese food in general. If you’re not used to raw fish, then I would start with the baked/cooked options. I used to be nervous about eating sashimi (slices of raw fish) when I was younger because I was overthinking it. But now, they’re my favorite part! But when you’re eating raw, it’s important to find a good restaurant with fresh fish. Best of luck!
